A little loony...

It's also been a summer for going loony (in more ways than one, but I digress)...Our first camping trip of the season found us out at Fish Lake and we were incredibly fortunate to have loons at the lake.  One night while we were casting off the dock, a loon dove not twenty metres away and swam under water right in front of us at the dock - truly an awesome sight to see....

While we were at Twin Lakes, there was a family of loons at the lake, and mamma was not happy that baby wasn't keeping up....I had alot of shots that had better composition, but these were taken from a canoe, so I'm pretty happy with how they turned out... it's almost like the loon was preening once it realized it was being photographed!
